Morgan Motor Company has launched a program called Bespoke as Standard that gives 50 customers direct access to its design team. The British sports car maker will pair each buyer with in-house designers to create a one-off specification before building the car. The initiative runs through the end of 2026, with deliveries scheduled for spring 2027.

Customers first develop a specification with an authorized Morgan retailer, choosing colors, materials and trim. The design team then reviews and approves the configuration before production begins at the company’s Pickersleigh Road factory in Malvern, Worcestershire. Buyers who wish to go further can speak directly with Morgan designers.

Matthew Hole, Morgan’s managing director, said projects like the Midsummer Coupe show that “the most extraordinary cars are not simply designed, but created through a deeply personal collaboration.” Jonathan Wells, chief design officer, noted there is no single way to specify a Morgan and the goal is to help customers bring “color, material and finish together in a way that feels considered, cohesive and entirely personal to them.”

Complimentary upgrades include any solid or metallic paint from Morgan’s palette, including paint-to-sample colors, plus leather upholstery, carpet and hood colors from the standard range. Craftspeople can sign the underside of the bonnet, and each car receives a plaque signed by Hole along with a photographic buildbook. The program covers the Plus Four, Supersport and Supersport 400 in the United Kingdom, Europe and other international markets; U.S. buyers can access it only through the Plus Four. Interested customers should contact their nearest Morgan retailer before the year-end cutoff.
