In Bengaluru, Karnataka, Minister Priyank Kharge has stated that SIR is exclusive in nature and excludes voters, while questioning the availability of pre-printed forms across India that include detailed voter information.
Kharge said SIR is exclusive in nature and that voters are being excluded. He asked how pre-printed forms are being obtained across India, stating that this indicates the existence of a machine-readable voter list.
He noted that local leaders serving as booth managers find it difficult to read through a voter list at the booth level. Kharge further questioned how these forms are being secured with the name, EPIC number, address, and the reason for leaving individuals out of the voter list.
The remarks focus on concerns over the process involving voter lists and forms distributed with specific personal details linked to potential exclusions.
