Dozens of trucks from the United Arab Emirates delivered 789 tonnes of food and shelter supplies to the Gaza Strip this week. The aid arrived under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 to help families in the Palestinian coastal enclave facing an ongoing humanitarian crisis. Sixty trucks in five convoys entered Gaza after preparation at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Center in Al-Arish, Egypt.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the latest shipments bring the total number of trucks that have entered Gaza under the operation to 14,579. These have delivered 138,030 tonnes of humanitarian aid overall.
Humanitarian teams prepared the supplies at the logistics center in the Egyptian city of Al-Arish before transporting them into Gaza. The effort forms part of the UAE’s continued support for those in need during the crisis.
Nearly 2 million Palestinians have been displaced and more than 74,000 killed since the war began in late 2023. The conflict has also destroyed vital infrastructure, including health and education facilities. International bodies have accused Israel of committing genocide and war crimes in the region.
